Mission Comeback Kitchen is Second Mission Shield’s food support initiative, focused on addressing immediate food insecurity while reinforcing dignity, routine, and connection for veterans and their families.

Food insecurity is one of the earliest and most common indicators of instability after service. Missed meals are rarely the core problem, but they are often the first visible crack. Mission Comeback Kitchen exists to meet this need early, reduce stress, and stabilize daily life so veterans can focus on recovery, reintegration, and long-term progress.
